Our Water Projects
Our three main water projects include the community well, water solar, and the water pan. Read below to find out more!
Community well
Our water system at the well needed maintenance and we found out that the part joining the pipes and the pump had a hole from the high pressure due to the powerful pump. We had to replace it to get our water system back to normal. We are currently irrigating gardens at the well that both the Education and Agricultural teams are growing!
After replacing the part, the water pressure is incredible. The gardens have been getting plenty of water with extra for the community.
Water Solar
Solar panels have been the driving force and electrical source for our water pump in order to get 2000 litres of water from the well to the Heartbeat farm and Father’s Heart Primary School each day. We are also growing gardens on the land that houses the solar equipment!
This solar equipment includes 3 solar panels and 4 batteries, generating 500W.
Water pan (2.2 Million litres)
Through drought and wet season, the water pan has been incredibly useful with irrigating our farm crops, home to fish grown for selling, and teaching at the O.A.T. school. The latest project has been to remove the dirt from the bottom of the water pan, replace the liner, and dig draining trenches for the wet season. Our new liner is featured on the right!
